NashTrash Tours has been in operation since 1997. This tour is not primarily historical, although a few sights are pointed out along a tour route that includes downtown Nashville and a bit of the Music Row area. This tour is more about comedy, and consists mainly of stories about the scandals endured by many country music legends.
The sisters have an old school bus painted hot pink, and it carries 32 passengers on the 90-minute tour. This definitely isn't a tour for children -- drinks are allowed in small coolers, and the subject content is a bit risqué. However, adults of all ages have taken the tour and, as evidenced by the majority of reviews, enjoy it immensely.
Tour hostesses/owners Sheri Lynn and Brenda Kay are actually sisters. Each has a musical theater background with many years of improv comedy experience, and that talent is put to use on the NashTrash Tour. The tour has a basic outline, but every tour is different because every audience is different.
It's a very small company and the two sisters run every tour, so they're usually booked months in advance (especially on Saturdays). They have no online booking, and it's difficult to reach their only assistant (Beth) when you call the office. But information on their website gives details on how to book a reservation via voicemail.
The tour schedule is sometimes sketchy, but the website has a calendar with specific availability. It may seem low-budget, but that's intentional, and goes along with the campy, trashy nature of the whole thing...hundreds of repeat visitors don't seem to mind.
