The most popular Guide book for Disneyland is The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland by Bob Sehlinger. It is a great resource that discusses Disneyland, Disney's California Adventure and Universal Studios Hollywood in length, including touring plans for the theme parks.
The other major one is Birnbaum's Guide, and while it is published by Disney and has some wonderful photos, it is known for being out of date and still contains errors from years ago.
On the internet, there are some sites that provide great inside information and details about the Disneyland Resort and other Southern California attractions. Of course, TripAdvisor's Insider Pages and Forum are a great place to start. www.MouseSavers.com keeps track of Disney owned Hotel discounts, and many other ways to save money at the parks, including food, merchandise and hotels in the area. If you are looking for News, Rumors and other articles, the major Newspapers offer web pages, the Los Angeles Times has a Daily Deal Blog in its Travel section, http://travel.latimes.com/daily-deal-... . The Orange County Register has its own area, called Around Disney... http://ocresort.freedomblogging.com/ . You can also fine some great news and rumors articles at www.MiceAge.com and www.MousePlanet.com .
Also, there is a program that you can buy which will help you manage the lines at Disneyland that is amazing. You can find it at www.ridemax.com .
