One of the little known secrets among locals is TICKETPLACE, run by the Cultural Alliance of Greater Washington DC.  The local equivalent of NYC's fame TKTS booth.  You can buy half-price, day-of-show and half-price advance sales for theatre, dance, music, performances and exhibitions for DC, Northern VA and Maryland.  Tickets are on sale for theatre as large as Kennedy Center and Ford's Theatre to Studio Theatre and Woolly Mammoth.  The Booth is located at 407 7th Street NW Washington, DC (between D & E Sts.)
