Ocean Key is located at Zero Duval Street..at the very tip of Key West. If you went any further you would be in the ocean. All I can say is that I will ALWAYS stay at this resort when visiting Key West. The location is in proximity to all of the action.

We booked the junior suite with the partial ocean view and was right over Mallory Square. It was awesome! The restaurants in the hotel were great, all had ocean view dining. The staff was courteous, the room had a big screen TV, the balcony was perfect for 2. It's a very romantic place.

Its a great place to shop, or just walk up and down Duvall Street to relax. Mallory Square has music each night and street performers. This is also a great place to watch the sunset!

The other restaurants around town are great too and my boyfriend said the cigars are awesome in Key West.

The price was a little high, but it's worth every penny!

I can't wait go back and book a room at Ocean Key Resort!!

I know I'm writing this review almost a year after I stayed there, but I just had such a great experience that I have to share.

Our room was beautiful. It didn't have the best water view, but we did get to see Mallory Square which had excellent people watching. The balcony was small, but comfortable for two people.

Also, the bathroom was really nice AND spacious, which is always a plus when getting ready--especially a priss like me.

As for location, you just can't beat it. We walked EVERYWHERE.

The staff was friendly and accommodating.

The restaurant upstairs, The Hot Tin Roof, was wonderful. We ate breakfast there every morning. Also, the chef came out and made us an appetizer that wasn't on the menu and I loved it.

I don't know if I'm biased though, because I didn't know it, but my fiance had planned the trip to propose to me. I just thought we were taking a mini-vacation.

At the time that we went, the elevator was HOT but hopefully that has been taken care of. That was our only real gripe about the place.

I booked through hotels.com but in reality it is better to book direct. The staff wonderful. Especially Jackie. The rooms are great. Even though there was some minor construction going on it was not to loud nor did it interfere with any activity. I can't wait for my next trip to Key West.

We recently stayed at the Ocean Key and had a blast. From the moment we arrived, we had the very friendly staff help us and give us suggestions for everything.
We booked the junior suite which had it's own living room with a fabulous large screen TV. Just down the hall was the bedroom and a big jacuzzi. The room also had a balcony. Ours overlooked Duval St. and the Glass bottom boat tours.
The rooms are beautiful-but you can see it's a little worn form over the years.
The pool is a great place to relax-you just may have to hunt down the towels or bring your own from your room. From the pool you can see Mallory Square and the cruise ships arriving(which by the way-their horns are a bit on the loud side). There is also a pretty big hot tub that compliments the shape of the pool.

The thing that i loved the best about this resort was the location which is '0 Duval St.'-so just down the road is anything and everything. There was a CVS right next to the hotel which was very convenient.
We brought our own bikes to ride around town,(they do have rentals as well) which i recommend because it gives you a chance to see quite a bit of the city and just stop anywhere to grab a drink or take a picture:)
This is a great romantic place to stay if you are planning a trip to Key West and want to be just a hop skip and jump from the action:)
