I STAYED at this hotel for a night during the 2nd week of the June holidays. The REASON of me staying at this hotel is to take a BREAK from school & just ENJOY myself. I was VERY HAPPY & EXCITED the moment my parents booked this hotel for me !! As i stepped into the lobby on the day i was checking in I was very IMPRESSED with the whole place. The receptionist that was checking us in was a bit slow, maybe she is tired. Also the housekeepers that were cleaning the rooms were friendly but they didn't really understand english when i asked them for something !! But other than that everyone else was KIND & FRIENDLY !! The highest room in this hotel is on the 66th floor & the room that we were ASSIGNED to was on the 55th floor !! It was so MUCH higher than the HDB flat I'm staying at all my life (I live on the 8th floor) !!! Although my parents found the room not as CLASSY as the rooms at the neighboring hotel the Fairmont Singapore that we stayed during the December holidays last year. I FOUND the room VERY NICE & BIG!!! The room ALSO has a pen, pencil, 2 writing pads & alot of paper for guests to write. I'm also addicted in collecting these items as SOUVENIRS & for MEMORIES !!! The view when looking out of the window was SPECTACULAR especially at NIGHT !!! If i ever have the CHANCE to return to this hotel I MAY decide having lunch at one of their restaurants. I MAY also have dinner & enjoy the most SPECTACULAR view at the EQUINOX restaurant with is located on level 70th !!! WOW !!! Finally, I would like to thank all the staff working at this hotel for ALWAYS being SUPER KIND & FRIENDLY to everybody & especially ME !! I would also like to RECOMMEND anyone RICH or POOR to give this hotel a TRY. Once again, Thank you Swissotel The Stamford for making my stay a MEMORABLE one & may your business PROSPER !!!

What a fantastic hotel and for someone that loves good service - then this is the place.

Nothing too hard, friendly staff. Room 4658 on 46th floor was harbour view and spectacular. You didn't want to shut the curtains on the lights at night. Breathtaking.

Beds comfy and even got an extra roll out for our son, and wasn't expecting it.

Must request harbour view room. Its worth it!! Breakfast had plenty to choose from and service in the restaurant for breakfast was again fantastic.

We would definately stay there again and plan to in 2010. Surprising large rooms, even with extra bed and the two doubles. Terrific stay and was a big step down to Patong Merlin in Phuket!

This hotel is in a wonderful location really cant beat it in Singapore. I stayed here for 5 nights and really did enjoy it, the staff are wonderful and very helpful (duty manager Darren, i think very helpful) and the public areas of the hotel look great. I booked a club room on the top floors and it came with access to the club lounge, free drinks and snacks day and night it was nice. My only disappointment with the hotel was their rooms are looking a little tired and are really in need of a major renovation, but i did still really like the hotel, i dunno if its that view out of my window of the 60th floor out over Singapore, its just great. I also enjoyed the coffee machine in my room, it was one of these pod ones, nice and i like the chocolate and fruit basket they left in my room, the chocolate came in a little wooden box you can keep. Amenity's in the bathroom are there own brand and nothing to wright home about. Beds are a little on the hard side, nothing like a "Sheraton sweet sleeper bed" but they were bearable . I don't know if i would stay here again, at least until they renovate there rooms, but i do like the location and the service is first class.

We loved these 2 days in Singapore. Nice city, mix of tradition and modernity, entertainment, food, this should be a nice place to live in for a family. Maybe boring for singles:). But definitely more peacefull and healthier place thant Shanghai!
We stayed at the Stamford, as we couldn't afford the Raffles, located nearby. Location is nice, walking distance. For the category the service at check in was very poor, not friendly. Room has a comfortable size. Bathroom and furnitures could be revamped, very basic. Mostly bathroom not at the level for the category. The vue was really wonderfull. Morning breakfast was correct. I probably won't recommend it to friends.
