My three children and I stayed at the Prudential for 9 days. It was a great hotel for us. The Jordan MTR under the hotel made getting around so easy. The room was clean and comfy and the breakfast buffet set us up for a busy day of exploring. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had a view out to the buildings at the back but this was not a negative, we had sun in our rooms in the morning and enjoyed watching the activities in the buildings nearby.i.e. a movie being filmed on a rooftop and the daredevil bamboo scaffolders at work. I would stay in this hotel again if I came to Hong Kong. P.S. There is a very cheap laundry at the far end of the backstreet, and the Kamazaki bakery across the road in Nathan Rd is a great place for rolls, cakes and snacks at very affordable family friendly prices..

I stayed at Prudential in June and July and on both occasions found the hotel to be clean, well serviced and the concierge (Stanley especially) to be very courteous and helpful.

I know ppl can find the location confusing but it's rather simple - get there by taking the MTR Airport Express from HK airport to Kowloon station. From there, go upstairs and take the K1 free shuttle bus. This will drop you off on Austin Road, so you'll need to walk 2 blocks up to Nathan Road, from there, walk a few metres to the Giordano clothing store and the hotel is on that side street.

OR the better way to do it is to book an airport-hotel bus - by going to the Arirvals Hall at HK airport - go to A01 or B01 stand. This bus takes you directly to the front door of the hotel and can pick you up from the lobby to the airport on your return trip back. Really worth it if you have 2 or more travellers and very handy if you have heavy luggage.

Anyway, back to the hotel - it's clean and was so handy. Great to beable to access the Jordon MTR all underground (exit E from Jordon MTR) or from exit D Fourseas Building if you want to enter the ho0tel from the street.

Overall, a great value hotel and a must if you are in Hong Kong to shop till you drop as the location is perfect.

We just return from our 4 nights stay at the Prudential Hotel. It was our third time in HK and decided to try out this hotel for the first time and was not disappointed. Prudential sits atop the Jordan MTR made travelling to TST, Mongkok and HK Island a breeze. Smack in the heart of Nathan Road, you are not far from all the shopping actions in TST or Mongkok. There are many shops and eateries around the hotel ( if not opposite ), especially the Satay King at the basement of the hotel. It is just so convenient that we often drop by our hotel to drop off our shopping bags and carry on from there again!

We stayed in the Superior Room and are huge by HK Standards. We had 2 twin beds and a comfy red couch. Room is huge enough to accomodate one more bed i guess. Yes, they are clean but overly simple and bland decor .

I also dislike the idea of escalators getting up to the hotel lobby, really troublesome especially if you have many luggage with you. Reception staff ( even an asst. supervisor ) offers cold and unfriendly service - a certain lack of smile.

Apart from its prime location and room size, other aspects of the hotel barely could make it to 4 stars.

This hotel lived up to my expectation as I was looking for a hotel with clean and comfortable room/beds, close proximity to the MTR and in a mid range price. All my expectations were satisfied. We booked the Earlybird package for a week, and found the room very clean and comfortable. Although not much of a view and limited TV channels, the convenience to the Jordan MTR, shops and reasonable price made up for it. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We caught the Airport Express (HK$90 each) to the Kowloon station and caught a taxi to the hotel (HK$30).
We didn't have to eat at the hotel but instead tried the number of small local restaurants on the side street outside the hotel - so cheap and yummy. The only disadvantage is, their English is very limited.
It rained most of the week we were in HK, but because the MTR is directly below the hotel complex, we didn't have to get wet when we ventured out to our daily shopping. For those of you who haven't travelled to Hong Kong before, don't forget to get an Octopus Card which can be used on all the public transport - very convenient to use and saves so much time going on the MTR. You can get a refund on any unused amounts at the Kowloon station.
