“Pricy and Overrated February 2007”

El Presidente Acapulco

Feb 6, 2007
6/6 found this review helpful

I crashed at El Presidente because February 5th is holiday in Mexico and all the recognized hotels were full these are my Pros and Cons.

Pros
-Excellent service, clerks, bellboys and valets were very kind.
-Great location and view.
-Clean, no cockroaches at all (just joking).

Cons
- Expensive 200 USD rate.
- Just one elevator working, journey room-beach/lobby can take up to 10 minutes!
- Horrible food just ate breakfast and had enough of it.
- Room furniture is old and its covered with wall paint.
- Bathroom tiling, tub and toilet are old and look dirty, no matter how much you scrub it dirt simply stays there.
- Parking system is tortuous; 30 minutes wait your car.
- Pool is crowded all the time and loud music is played all afternoon.

Overall these is not a good place to stay save your money and stay at Fiesta Inn, and don’t be fooled some pages rate these place as a 5 star, but it’s really a 2 star.

“terrible people”

El Presidente Acapulco

Dec 1, 2006

The worst hotel ever. I had a reservation showed them a printout with all the confirmation #s. They told me they that they no idea offered me a downgrade for more money and I had to pay cash. The room was already paid for but I had to take the downgrade and pay cash because it was a holiday weekend and I had no choice. The hotel is a scam. I am now trying to get my money back through my bank. DO NOT STAY THERE. The people at the front desk , Martha and her supervisor, Guillermo are the rudest thieves you'll ever meet.

“DO NOT STAY HERE!!!”

El Presidente Acapulco

Jul 7, 2006

Do not stay at the El Presidente. We went because we got a great deal at $22/night, but boy it wasn't worth it...we left after the first day. First off, the AC didn't work in our room and it was very hot. We had a terrible view of the AC unit outside and the windows where so filthy we might as well have been looking at stained glass. After taking showers, the whole bathroom was flooded in about 1 inch of water. There was a ring of mold around the ceilings and everything looked like it hadn't been cleaned in several years. Finally, we pulled back the sheets on the beds and found several curly black hairs and yellow stains. Pay a little more and get a better place. You will not enjoy the El Presidente..I promise.

“The worse hotel in Mexico”

El Presidente Acapulco

Mar 7, 2006
7/8 found this review helpful

nothing works, the lifts are dangerous, the A/C does not work, the rooms are third world and the food
is not for the faint hearted. I stayed one night and moved out immediately. I did complain to the manager who told me to put everything in writing so he could argue he's case with the owners. it seems the managet had heard it all before.

This review is plain and simple - just do not go to this hotel - you will regret it the moment you check in.

“Beware of sharetime-sellers”

Stayed there just one day. They offer you a free night/dinner in exchange to hear a one-hour (really about two hours) promotion of a Vacation World sharetime vacation plan. Sounded good, but after hearing all the promotional and don't planning to buy, even when the rest of the staff were nice, the final vendor, some girl named Alicia acted very rude and practically told us to leave the place as quicky as possible. Very bad experience
