I stayed at Maxim Bungalows the third week of June to celebrate our wedding anniversary and just loved it! The rooms are awesome and even though the hotel is not right on the beach it's just a 3 minute walk down the hill, and there are carts available all day to take you there and bring you back. The food at Social is great and the mojitos are special, you must try president beer, is the local brand and very good. The service is outstanding, very friendly staff and managers. I will go back next year.

We stayed a week at Maxim Bungalows and loved every moment of it. Everything is brand new, the grounds are lovely, the pool is amazing with private cabanas and great lounge sofas along the pool, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The food at Social Restaurant on their grounds was fantastic - the chef came out to meet us and made me a special vegetarian meal each night. I highly recommend this resort.

I stayed at this hotel few days ago with my boyfriend and we loved every minute and we are planning our next visit soon..there are some points that I would like to share with you..

1. I am Dominican and my boyfriend is from El Salvador center america, everybody knows the hospitality of the dominican with the foreigner but I never experienced before the hospitality of my people with his own kind as we as latin we say that is only for the GRINGOs ( as we call all white skin, blond hair people)

2. I work in an all inclusive 5 star Hotel of Punta cana and I know EVERYTHING of Hotels, service, food, etc. sometimes that is something that can bother us as we the hoteliers are extremely picky and we are looking for defects..

we could not choose any better place than this.. a whole difference from the rush of Punta cana this place is heaven so quiet, the check in super fast and so friendly, the rooms are outstanding, super chic and modern.

the hotel is not the type of Hotel that will be full of people everyday and sometimes you think that you are the only people that are in the hotel, that is an extra cause all the employees always say Hola, and ask how you feel, and if you need anything...

the pool area is fantastic and the cocktails @ the bar are so good ( TRY MANGO MOJITO )
I love being at the cabanas at the pool. inside you have sofa, bed, Tv, and Ihome stereo so you can have your ipod all the times with you..

When we were hanging around the bar, a bartender asked to my boyfriend where is he from, and he said that he was from El salvador, and they said that the Chef from Social rest was also from El Salvador and Angel the chef went to meet his PAISANO and they made really friend, we went to have dinner that night and Angel himself take care of us, he suggested what to eat oh my what a delicious food, Please try MOLTEN LAVE CHOCOCAKE is the most delicious dessert of the world..

the day of the check out we need help with the battery of my car and they helped us , we are looking forward to return in October with some members of our family, and THUMBS UP AND CONGRATULATION of all the employees of MAXIM BUNGALOWS you guys are changing the face of Puerto Plata and the tourism of the noth side of my country...

Some friends had the opportunity to stay at Maxim and were amazed. The grounds were impeccable and the staff was amazingly friendly. The pool area is one of the coolest hangout spots I have ever seen and the rooms are excellent. I can't wait to go back.
