This was our 2nd stay @ Coco Reef for 5 days, 4 nights! We were here last year in May and our experience is very similar. We have been to Bermuda many times and stayed in large resorts and some other smaller hotels over the years. We came back to Coco Reef because of it's proximity to the beach. It is one of the best locations to be so close to the ocean. But if you're looking for a place with lots of service, sports, activities, entertainment then this isn't the place. We went for a few days of rest and relaxation and that's what we got. The rooms are exactly as posted on their web site ... nothing fancy but nothing to complain about. We had a beachfront room and could hear the waves crashing against the shore and the view from our balcony was outstanding. We did a lot of walking along the beach ... you can walk from Coco Reef to beyond the Coral Beach Club and you could see many people doing the same thing to be right on the ocean with your feet in the water as well as getting some exercise. We had breakfast each morning at the hotel and it was a buffet ... it was more than adequate. In addition you can order eggs prepared fresh and served. We had lunch a couple of days and the food is very good! We ate at Mickey's on the Beach and the Seahorse @ Elbow Beach two other days for lunch and prices are similar, but I think the quality of food @ Coco Reef is better! We went into Hamilton all 4 nights ... a $10+ taxi fare each way. We ate @ the Lobster Pot, Little Venice, Pickled Onion and Portifino ... they were all very good, but as is everything in Bermuda ... the food is expensive. We used the Modern Mart (store at the entrance to Coco Reef) and were able to stock our fridge with beverages. We did get to watch one ocean side wedding this year! The weather was perfect with only a shower late one afternoon into evening. Overall it was a nice vacation and sorry it was so short!
