Stayed at the FS Chinzan-so for three nights on business. The location is not as convenient as some of the other big luxury properties in Tokyo (i.e. the Mandarin Oriental) but what you give up in ease-of-access is offset by the lovely gardens on-site. This time of year (June) you can even watch the fireflys that congregate around the stream running through the garden. The rooms are quite large but decorated in a more classic style that was very nice, but felt a little dated to me. The room does have a LCD TV, DVD, CD player, etc. so in terms of electronics it was up-to-date. Internet access was provided free of charge and a short LAN cable was available inside the desk. The room also came with a relatively large safe that was big enough to put a PC and other valuables in. Service was excellent and staff always seemed to be trying to anticpate the needs of guests and working proactively instead of waiting to be asked. If I was looking for a quiet and peaceful location for a stay in Tokyo, I would definitely stay here again.
