We stopped by Leonards at 6a on our way to Kualoa Ranch. They had just opened and we had to wait a few minutes for our Masaladas. They were warm and fresh and the lightest donuts I have ever had! We chose the original ones with white sugar coating, but they had lots of variations...you have to try one when... more

Oh my God, the malasadas are great and filling. They always have a special of the day with their filling, Mango, etc. They have been there since the 50's. During the week they ususally close at 9:00 but you better get there no late than 8:40 to get any selection. Great with milk and ask for extra napkins.....you will need... more

Go here to try the malasadas or other sweetbreads, but not much else from a doughnut place. There are some Leonard's express stores around the island so you don't have to stop at this place to get it. Not sure why this is so highly ranked. more

It's a doughnut. That's it. With a much larger variety I could see how this might be a decent doughnut shop---but as is its just sugary fried dough balls. more

they're just donuts, what's the big deal? Of course sweet dough fried and soaked in oil then drenched with sugar is going to be good. In the top 10 restaurants in Honolulu? Maybe things to do section, not restaurants. Skip the filled ones. The fillings taste like they're straight from the bucket. I demand my 3000 calories back! more
