If you are in Paris and you do not make a distinct effort to get to Pierre Herme for some macarons, shame on you. These little cookies are bliss in three bites. I am generally a chocolate person, but I was downright astonished by the vanilla variety. Absolutely do not miss this patisserie. more

If you loved art, you probably love Picasso. If you loved desserts, you gotta love The Picasso of Pastry. His store has the contemporary (eg Chanel make up counter) look which may intimidate you, but you will find helpful and friendly service behind his counter. Ispahan (Raspberry, Rose, Litchi combined) and Chocolate/Passion fruit ones are a must try. more
