We had a lovely Christmas stay, check in was great, we are lucky enough to be Hyatt points card holders so we were give a club suite on the 31st floor, great view of the city. Also had access to the club lounge which served a good continental breakfast, afternoon tea and evening snacks. The room was very large with... more

Went to New York for Christmas with my two girls for 5 days. Had a fantastic first time in NYC. The best thing about the Grand Hyatt is its central location and the fact that it is next door to Grand Central Terminal, which all the cab drivers know. About the hotel, the entrance and lobby are just spectacular and... more

I used points for my stay so I guess I can't complain too much. The hotel was just fair. The best part of it was it's proximity to Grand Central Station, literally right next door. I was upgraded to a "larger" room which I guess is larger only by NYC standards. The room was clean, however just not your typical... more

Having read the reviews on Trip Advisor, before I booked, I wasn’t expecting too much. Small beds, small rooms, but this is New York, what else could you expect. We must have just struck lucky, large cosy room with one of the most comfortable beds ever. We ended up staying at the Hyatt for a week, in room 2441. No... more

I had read reviews about the hotel being dirty and that the rooms were nicer on the higher floors. So, I called the hotel directly (not the 800 number for Hyatt) and told them of my findings and asked for clean rooms on the higher floors. We had booked 3 rooms for the family and to our surprise they had... more

Just back from Christmas in New York and a stay at the Grand Hyatt. After reading previous comments posted was a bit concerned but did not need to be. Staff were extremely friendly and courteous, location excellent next to Grand Central. Room absolutely fine, beds very comfortable, no problem sleeping. Did not have a problem with noise from rooms next... more

We stayed 3 nights in December 08 in the Grand Hyatt and we had a great holiday. The lobby was very impressive and the check in was very efficient - staff were always helpful and friendly. We got the room for a very reasonable price so we were pleasantly suprised by the lovely room, comfy king sized bed and cleanliness.... more

My mother and I stayed at the Grand Hyatt New York for Christmas as a short holiday break. Upon arrival we were really impressed with the grand entrance lobby. Check in was also nice and easy with unpretentious staff. Judging by the appearance of the lobby my mother and I expected to have the same wow factor in our hotel... more

This hotel is perfect if you want easy walking access to 5th and Madison Avenue. Central Park is about a 25 minute walk but pleasant. The staff were helpful. We stayed in a Lexington Suite which was costly and I must admit not worth it purely because you are given extra room including a lounge area but you do not... more

I got an excellent rate ($160/night) bidding on Priceline for a 2 night midweek stay. Except for the old TV, the room, though small, was in excellent condition, the bed comfortable, quiet abnd clean. I was on the 20th floor and elevator service was always prompt. The room service menu was way overpriced, even for New York (e.g. club sandwich:... more
