Well, I booked through American Express Centurion (my hubby has a black card) and the rate here was great, that I will say (395/nt). I booked 2 rooms for a girls' overnight. It stank! The rooms were really sort of run down and dirty, it was unlike any other Ritz I have ever stayed in. My husband has had better... more

The reason why I know that this is a luxury hotel is because they tell me it is, but frankly few of the experiences here are luxury. First the good....1. The staff with relatively few exception is friendly (although the restaurant staff can be slow) and competent. Every time I returned to the hotel, the staff greeted me with a... more

I enjoyed my 3-night stay but take it in light of the hotel location, 4 mins walk from my destination, and the fact that I had no time to enjoy NYC on this trip. The rooms are as comfortable as you'd expect but the big treat, I think, is having the unobstructed view of the harbour and enough quiet that... more

Me and my wife have stayed to the Ritz-Carlton Battery Park for 3 nights. It was a part of our 3 weeks honeymoon to central and north America (Canada, New York and Cuba). We decided to stay to this hotel because of its magnificent view to the Liberty Statue, the Ellis Island and the Port. Our room was on the... more

I got a nice offer on this hotel through BA Holidays website. Otherwise I wouldn't never have spent 500 $+tax per night for that hotel ! First of all, let's speak about the view. Everybody seems to find it amazing... It's true they easily upgrade you to a harbour view room (so why spending 100 $ per night when you... more

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at the Ritz Carlton Batt Park having visited New York 4 times before. We chose this hotel because of a special deal from British Airways and the good location. The hotel is based at the very end of Manhatton often referred to as Lower Manhatton or Downtown. It is right next... more

I completely agree with the previous review by dannymcl--pretentious, overstaffed, high-class chain. The beds were very comfortable, but the room was dusty--very dusty in corners. Housekeeping was below average. We had to remake the beds to fix the problem with the mattress pads. The worst part was the breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The omlet consisted of a big lump... more

Stayed in the hotel end of July with my wife and two teenage daughters. First of all great location, we came to NY to relax and this is the palce to be... It's out of the hussle of mid town, but realy not that far away. The staff were very good, however, almost over the top... we started to feel... more

We had a Liberty Suite that directly overlooked the Statue of Liberty and the New York Harbor. For fireworks--the best display is at South Street Seaport, not at this location but you can see some smaller fireworks over the Statue as well as New Jersey. Great service, good jogging path, nice area for kids to play outside. You are at... more

Whilst some may like noise and crowds, we do not. Having stayed in NYC twice before, this time we chose the Ritz Battery Park because of its location in a less popular tourist area. And we got it 100% right! The staff were attentive without being over the top. The room was very well appointed and a lovely size, including... more
