We just got back from Maui and had a great time. This was thanks largely in part to the place we chose to stay. We're so thankful that Tripadvisor helped us find this property - it was exactly what we wanted and needed to get the most out of our stay. We were in room 12, which has beautiful, vaulted... more

This is a simple, no-frills place. It's clean and friendly. It could use an update, but at least there are NO kids around. It doesn't have a pool, but the location makes up for it. I'd stay again. It's charming. more

My partner and I have stayed at the Maui Sunseeker several times and we have never been disappointed. We love Eddie and Joe. They have always been gracious hosts and made us feel right at home during every visit. We have stayed at other properties on Maui but the Sunseeker is our favorite by far. Our room was clean and... more

My partner and I just got back from 3 nights at the Sunseeker and enjoyed every minute of it. Joe is a great guy and goes out of his way to make you fell welcome. He gave us a couple of great suggestions on where to eat and what to do. We meet many other couples during our stay, yet... more

Spent seven nights in the Wailana (back) portion of the Sunseeker. I honestly didn't even think about the fact that they photocopied me and my partners id's. It was so inconsequential. As for Eddie... he's a talker, sure. I can also imagine him getting sassy if he's not in a good mood. While I can see how this would be... more

I've NEVER been treated so poorly by a hotel employee. This same individual was already short-tempered/ rude over the phone while I was making reservation. He also was extremely rude to a friend who came to the hotel to visit us a Sunday morning. Offensively impolite/ invasive/ lacking sophistication and RUDE employee called me a BITCH and my guest JERK... more

The place overall is fine. The rooms are dark so be ready to feel like you are in a cave even though the sun is shining. The beds are not very comfortable and need some serious updating. Eddie is way too overbearing and I think the whole copying of IDs is ridiculous. It makes you feel as if you are... more

We spent 4 nights here in the middle of a 2-week trip in Hawaii. It reminded me of the old-school roadside motor lodges we used to stay in when I was a kid. The room was OK, certainly nothing special. There was good and bad to be found. The bed was hard as a rock, and the bathroom had a... more

We enjoyed 3 days in Kihei at the Sunseeker at the end of January. Michael and Eddie could not have been nicer or more helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. We loved the garden view, and the peace and quiet. The free internet computer was a bonus when planning trips- easy to use and super fast. There... more
