Some friends and I rented out a cabin at Fort Wilderness because it was the cheapest way for 5 people to stay in one room, and we really liked the idea of having a full kitchen. Needless to say, for the price, the cabin itself, and the cleanliness, was impressive. The only complaint I had about the accommodations was that... more

Check in was slow. Entire cabin floor dirty & entire cabin very dusty. Dust pan in closet but no broom? There is a vacuum cleaner but the housekeeper didn't use it. I guess I was suppose to vacuum on vacation? Do not provide papertowels for the full size kitchen. Called to req papertowels & ea time sd they would bring... more

The check-in procedures are very Disney. Friendly and efficient. The campground is expansive and has all the amenities with the notable exception of free (or any) wireless internet. After staying at the Wilderness Lodge my wife and I had decided to give the campground a try. The pool is an average pool nothing like the hotels. I had hoped for... more

I'm not much of a nature girl so when my family unanimously voted to go camping I figured Disney would be a safe bet. And I was right! Most of the reviews on here are from people who stayed in a cabin. We stayed 2 nights in a tent. We had "neighbors" on both sides who were helpful and nice.... more

July 22, 2008. Just got back from a two night stay. My DH, and I and two of our grandchildren stayed in cabin 2231. We visit Disney frequently and have stayed in several of their resorts. Some parts of this resort were fabulous - (nothing was bad) - but some parts just OK. Cabins are rustic in a charming way... more

I never expected to go to Disney and sleep in a tent. I am usually the resort type person. My kids and I spent two nights in a tent and had so much fun. There is so much to do at the resort that we never ventured off the campgrounds those days. My girls, ages 17 & 13, went swimming,... more

I stayed at the Fort Wildreness in one of the cabins with a group of my friends. It was four 20 somethings all staying together for a long weekend. We didn't see the need to spend the extra money on a golf cart because everything was easy to walk to, though I would understand the need for one in the... more

Our cabin was very dirty....I could write letters in the dust. The cabins and resort are not updated. Plugs did not work in the bathroom. The door to the bathroom had to be forced open...they did fix that while we were there. Takes 2 times as long to get to the parks from this resort as the other resorts. You... more

Great camping accomodations, pet friendly in the campsite w/kennels available for the day & night if needed. The Chip & Dale campfire show was great. The floating light show from the beach was fun. Campfire food prices were high but you can bring your own & roast marshmellows. General store prices were high as well. The comfort stations were fabulous... more

What a wonderful place. Myself, my husband, son, daughter-in-law and grandaughter (nearly four years) stayed for one week at the Wilderness Resort. Our accommdation was comfortable and clean, the pull down bed was a little small but we managed. The outside space was great. The pools were never too busy, the trading posts managed to provide essentials and it was... more
