Property in terrible location, busy street, right next to a cement mixing company. Rooms have old, scratched furniture-some propped up to "look level" using very small pieces of cardboard. Smooth check in, rooms were clean, housekeeping was excellent, if you need anything all you have to do is ask, just a few miles from the beach, only con is the free cooked to order breakfast, not very good and the cafe is very small. Hotel still looks as though a hurricane hit it. Pools are full or debris, and very dirty. 1st room we were in dirty and small. My mom's stay at the Hotel this past weekend was greatly unsatisfactory. If you decide to stay at Cayo Grand, FT Walton, avoid staying in the building near the newspaper business during a hurricane. Mom's fourth floor suite and other suites on her floor leaked from the ceiling and windows. Sunday evening was spent with drenched carpet throughout the suite.... more
