My wife and I stayed here for four days in October 2008. The Westin Coral Gables is a nice place. I attended a business meeting here and was quite pleased with the room. Large, fully decorated rooms. Very comfortable beds, bathroom, chairs. Super service by both the front deks and the concierge! The hotel is located at a very good location, just around the Magid Mile, with restaurants, shops and parking. Avoid the valid parking and the garage next door. There's a public garage just a few minutes further for half the price. more

Overall I was very pleased with this hotel. Not knowing the area, I was somewhat leary of the reputation of staying in downtown Miami. Though I'm happy to report that the Westin Coral Gables is in a very nice, seemingly safe, area of suburban Miami. One benefit to the hotel's location was the 15min ride to the University of Miami.... more

Stayed with my wife and teenaged daughter in a 'townhouse' style suite. On the positive side, the location is great and the building is very impressive. This was our pre-cruise stay thru Royal Caribbean (May 16-18). Flavored water with fruit in reception is a nice touch. Hotel room was a roomy suite and opened up to the pool off the room (232). For the $$$ and the rating, this place is on the money. Decided against staying in SoBe due to its craziness-I'm in my early 40's. If your under 35, stay in SoBe, over 35, Coral Gables is the place.
