I don't like to complain - especially when I'm travelling for free (for business) but I felt I ought to write, just to make sure that there is another voice to balance the amazing impression given by the hotel website. I just returned from a three night stay at The Ambrose. It was such a positive experience, from the room to the staff, everything was so well done. Read the TA reviews before we booked and I'd say we got exactly what we expected and were looking for. The hotel was reasonably priced (not cheap, but it's LA), very clean, nice decor. It's not close enough to the Santa Monica pier to walk...the front desk folks were honest enough to tell us it was a 40 minute walk... more
