did anyone have a bad time here this is a maybe 2 star only not 4 or 5 as posted.. first thing the closet in the master bedroom was separated from the waLL and couldn't be use to hang up clothes .. the office said they could fix it but it would be a couple of days..the taffic noise always... more

We stayed here fully aware that there was a 45-60 minute commute to San Diego, but we didn't know how remote the place actually was. There's nothing around this "resort," which looks more like an old apartment complex converted into a hotel. This is a very well maintained resort in the hills northeast of San Diego. Because of the hilly terrain, driving to other locations can be a bit slow. My family and I stayed at the Riviera Oaks 9/24 to 9/30/06. We actually exchanged our beautiful timeshare resort at Tahoe for this resort because we wanted to visit the San Diego area and couldn't get into anything closer to San Diego itself. this is an excellent base from which to travel. the staff are really helpful, we where looking for a restaurant we had booked but i had forgotten the address - the staff found it & even printed us a map. lovely spacious rooms. would go back more
