My husband and I stayed at this hotel for nine days. We chose this hotel because it is about a five minute walk to the beach, but it is still reasonably priced. One thing that you have to remember is that you get what you pay for. The rates aren't high and therefore the hotel isn't ritzy. Cleanliness Our hotel... more

We stayed three nights...a Friday, Sat. and Sun. All three nights we were awakened periodically by loud shouting from outside, and people running up and down the stairs. This went on until 2 or 3 in the morning!! It was like being in the middle of a frat party. The room was ok....although the sink wouldn't drain properly and that... more

Stayed here in July 2008 for 13nights. The welcome at the front desk was poor to begin with but when we got to the room we were happier, it was clean and nice. The walls however were very thin and we could hear everything the people next door were saying. We could live with that though. What we could not... more

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The location was ok, the room was somewhat clean. The walls were paperthin...and we heard people having loud s__all night. That was brutal, but I could actually deal with those things. I used the hotel safe, as I always do when i have anything of value with me. I put my passport... more

Hotel is convenient, just west of the I-5. Situated behind the Del Taco, could be a little rowdy/noisy from their customers hooting/hollering in the parking lot. This hotel served a lot of travelers & families and not just the Marines. Outside premises were clean and the front desk clerk was very, very accomodating & friendly to me, my spouse &... more

We picked the Days Inn based on price and the fact that the reviews tended to be a little better than other Oceanside properties in the same price range. I think that some of the reviewers were a bit harsh. It's not a 5-star resort and I wasn't expecting one. It was clean, quiet and convenient. For a weekend visit,... more

My dad and I checked into this motel on March 31. The woman at the front desk, Elizabeth, was extremely friendly. She even remembered me the next morning when we went for breakfast. The breakfast was simple-cold cereal, danishes, bananas, apples and juice or coffee. The room was comfortable and clean. The wall was probably a bit too thin for... more

Clean room, walking distance to beach but never saw an oceanview from motel. Fridge and microwave present in room were a nice bonus, large bathroom in the room we stayed. Bed was a little hard but we didn't have problems sleeping. more

Stayed two nights (off-season) with my 8 year old Birthday boy while attending Legoland. All went well, but I found the local restaurants too mature for children. We ate at Legoland and brought food to our room. Great location between San Diego and Los Angeles. Lots of tourist information available in Hotel. Good price, friendly serice, breakfast average, clean room.... more

Somehow the four very positive reviews neglected to mention the train tracks that run thru the property. We checked in late (11:45 PM) after a long day of driving. Already 3 trains and we haven't been here 45 minutes! This is why I hate booking rooms based on internet reviews. Great view of another hotel, tho. more
