I stay in the Holiday Inn LAX frequently and for a couple reasons: it's rates and access for the airport. That's it. If you want to book a hotel due to the same factors but with nicer facilities and aren't bound by frequent stay programs, I would otherwise suggest the Four Points LAX (another area hotel I stay frequently). Check-in... more

Hotel on main strip close to airport (almost with all the other major chains), so it is convenient if you have an early morning flight. Property was being renovated when I stayed there in September and it badly needs it. If you came on shuttle bus or cab there is basically no place to walk except the McDonalds in the... more

i can forgive the reufbishement - even if the work starts at 7am. I can forgive the fact that the top 3 floors of the hotel are open to the elements during the refurb. I can forgive the fact that the room might have done with a deeper clean- it was okay, But the staff are so sullen its unbelieveable.... more

We are Priority Club Members so booked this without making any comparisons with others in the area. Arrived very late and slept well in the beds which are new - so they say. It is a very tired and sad Holiday Inn, with tired staff who do not put themselves out in any way. Having said that they are all... more

This hotel was tired and dated. The staff were O.K Can't say they went out of there way to be helpful, maybe because we were only staying one night on a stopover. The restaurant was the highlight for us, the food was great and the service was excellent. more

Paid for one night in advance. When we saw it, we left asap. Communal areas and rooms dirty, staff unhelpful. We were glad to pay and leave. We couldn't have used the beds. Not the experience you need after a long flight. Truly terrible. The place needs a major face lift and a general staff shake-up. Not worthy of the... more

This hotel was the last stop on our California holiday, and was the one real disappointment. It is not the easiest hotel to access, given all the barriers, and check in was slow, despite being a priority club member. My wife picked up a luggage cart from the lobby, only to have it taken from her as "this one is... more

Flew in from Australia for a few days before traveling on to Mexico. Searched hotels near airport and then used Trip Advisor to narrow down the choices. Hotel is value for money. I booked using the hotel website, prepaid and received a better rate at $80 per night for a standard room with 2 double beds. Beds are comfortable, reasonable... more

I Stayed at this hotel for some training held directly at the property. Was incredibly unimpressed with the staff including the management. Was expecting to be treated with respect and received everything but that! The room was run down and there was "hair" all over the bathroom and the carpeting had cigarette burns all over, I wouldn't walk on the... more

Stayed at the Holiday Inn LAX for one night because we had an early flight the next day. Check in was smooth but even though I reminded the desk clerk we reserved a king smoking room, she assigned us a non smoking one. Problem was handled efficiently. I called front desk and they sent someone up to our room with... more
