Gina’s has two properties on Aitutaki Island, Cook Islands. One - Gina's Garden Lodges, is on the main island, and is about 5 minutes walk from the Tautu landing, on the Eastern shores of Aitutaki lagoon. The second, beach side property is situated on one of the reef islands at Akaiami Island - 5 miles across the lagoon. This is Gina's Akaiami Beach Lodge. We are family friendly and welcome children of all ages. Both of these locales offer an environment that is special to Eastern Polynesia, and in their own way give reality to those Pacific dreams which travelers seek, and which cannot be found at Resort Hotels. more » « less

I have been to Gina's twice so I am biased. I know that good reseach is a big part of expectations and the final result. All factors must be balanced as to good and not so good in relation to cost. This is a low cost(pay for what you get) but 5/5 experience.... A must do. Treat Gina's as a... more

We are an Irish couple who have just spent 26 days in Gina's Garden Lodges and we absolutely loved it. The lodges are located inland at the southern end of the island and are clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen, plenty of living space, a large bathroom & enough beds for a small family. The lodges are cleaned... more

Gina's garden lodges are off the beaten path, so if you are expecting a beach view, this isn't for you. The easy availability of motorscooters made that not a problem for us and encouraged us to explore the islands a bit more. The owner, Tutai (aka Gina, aka The Queen) was willing to drop us off and pick us at... more

My fiance and I (both British) recently spent two weeks at Gina's Garden Lodges, and loved every minute. The owner, Tutai "The Queen", and her partner Des, were both very welcoming, and did all they could to accommodate our needs during our stay (including airport transfers, motor-scooter hire etc). It was our first time on Aitutaki, and we left our... more

Well, my partner and I have just returned from 25 days on Aitutaki. We stayed at Ginas Garden Lodges and at the owners other accomodation called Ginas Beach Lodges on the motu called Akaiami. We had fabulous weather for the whole stay (temps from 22c at night to 38c at night). The Garden Lodges are inland (as per the description... more

We ,as a family, have just stayed for 5 nights at the garden lodges and for 2 on the motu. . We found the accommodation to be clean, well equipped and cockroach free. Tutai is a wonderful and attentive host. The location is quiet and beautiful. The island is easy and fun to explore on mopeds. As for gecko's; they... more

Don't spend any time at Gina's Garden Lodge! If you have booked, don't pay up front! We arrived in Aitutaki late at night having booked a week's stay (paying upfront) at Gina's from Raratonga because the guide book descriptions made it sound lovely. Aitutaki is a beach and sea idyll, yet Gina's is too far inland to be convenient. The... more

well its quite hard to write this review as i thought the owner gina was a lovley character but i thought i'd better warn future customers. the area is slightly remote although this can make it feel quite idylic. however, the rooms have a bug probel. in 3 nights we had to contend with about 6 cockraoches and 3 geekos... more

Management response from

Regarding the bad review in Trip Advisor of Gina’s Garden Lodges – Aitutaki Island. Kia Orana. This is the first complaint of this nature we have ever had in over 6 years of operation. I must say that I had no inkling of any dissatisfaction on the part of these two guests - they never said anything to me at...
