I have been to Gina's twice so I am biased. I know that good reseach is a big part of expectations and the final result. All factors must be balanced as to good and not so good in relation to cost. This is a low cost(pay for what you get) but 5/5 experience.... A must do. Treat Gina's as a... more

Gina's garden lodges are off the beaten path, so if you are expecting a beach view, this isn't for you. We ,as a family, have just stayed for 5 nights at the garden lodges and for 2 on the motu. . We found the accommodation to be clean, well equipped and cockroach free. Don't spend any time at Gina's Garden Lodge! If you have booked, don't pay up front! We arrived in Aitutaki late at night having booked a week's stay (paying upfront) at Gina's from Raratonga because the guide book descriptions made it sound lovely. well its quite hard to write this review as i thought the owner gina was a lovley character but i thought i'd better warn future customers. the area is slightly remote although this can make it feel quite idylic. however, the rooms have a bug probel. in 3 nights we had to contend with about 6 cockraoches and 3 geekos... more
