Wow, Wow, Wow! What a hotel!! It's the BEST! I also stayed at the JW Marriott and the Peninsula and the Oriental blew them all away- no contest! The tiny details were just amazing- gorgeous flower arraingements everywhere, the most comfortable pool anywhere, beautiful Thai silk furniture, string quartet in the lobby during the evening. Honestly, I would consider myself... more

We treated ourselves to a few nights at The Oriental on the way home from Phuket. We had started the holiday staying at the Landmark Hotel in Bangkok (which I would also recommend) and we decided to end it in luxury. The Oriental certainly didn't disappoint. The rooms are just gorgeous and the whole decor of the hotel is wonderful.... more

What can I say about The Oriental that has not already been said? My husband and I stayed here for a total of a week of our honeymoon, a few days at the beginning of our trip to Thailand and a few days at the end. It is simply a world class hotel and we absolutely LOVED it. Initially, we... more

What can i say about this hotel! I just can not think of how it could possibly be better. I didn't want to leave. The rooms are simply luxury. Spotlessly clean. Fresh fruit is delivered every morning. There are luxury bath robes in the huge bathroom. There is a bath with a selection of bubble baths. The beds are huge... more

I have written a review in respect of previous stays and was not going to bother to write one re my stay this year in March. The building may not be the prettiest but the interior is immaculate and is being continously up graded. The one area where the Oriental is untouchable is the staff. It has been said before... more

We have now stayed twice at the Oriental once as part of a group trip in Nov 07 & this year in Feb before going on to Krabi. On both occasions we only stayed 2 nights & it was far too short. When we arrived in Feb this year, even though we had been part of a large company group,... more

Wonderful hotel, really nothing I can add to that. Very nice touches like the little robe and slippers I got for my 7 year old, very nice. A few things surprised me, like they charged for the internet, not used to that at top hotels, the Penn right across the river does not do that. Prices at the Oriental were... more

As a seasoned travel writer and photographer for two of Sweden's most popular travel magazines, Aftonbladet/Allt om Resor, I have the privilege of visiting a great many hotels around the world. And after my two nights at the Oriental Bangkok, I was very impressed. No, I did not receive any special treatment, discount or other incentives to write favorably about... more
