When over 200 people rate a B&B "Excellent "you know you have something special. Residenza Il Villino truely deserves this high praise as it exceeded all of our expectations. The location is close to everything and there are fabulous restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Sergio and his staff are a delight to be around and will cater to all... more

In late October 2008, my wife and I spent 6 nights at Il Villino in a spacious room overlooking their courtyard. Sergio and his family did everything to make the stay enjoyable. Hearty breakfasts were available early so we could start our day trips in and around Florence. Reservations at the Uffizi and Academia were arranged, allowing us quick entry.... more

Everyone has said it already, but we'd love to add one more voice to the chorus. We can't say enough about how helpful, kind and fair Sergio and his family and staff are. We had the best time staying at Il Villino and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else on our next visit to Florence. We were provided with everything... more

My fiance and I stayed at this hotel on the front end of our two week European vacation this past September. To say the least, it was by far the best hotel we stayed in. To begin, Sergio, the owner, was more than helpful before we even arrived. We communicated several times via email. He was willing to book us... more

My wife, mother-in-law, and I spent two weeks in Italy in October, traveling to Milan, Florence, and Venice. We enjoyed all of our hotels/lodgings but Il Villino was, without doubt, the most memorable, the warmest, and most enjoyable. We spent a week with Sergio, Elisabetta, Lorenzo, Roberto, and Anita and felt like we were staying with Italian relatives. The room... more

What a wonderful place, from the gracious hosts (Sergio and family) to the delicious breakfast! We were warmly welcomed by Elizabetta and shown to our delightful room with a view of Florence. Our room was impeccably clean, bright and more than enough room for our traveling party of three (which I have found space is at a commodity in a... more

Our stay at this hotel was unfortunately brief, as we were only overnighting in Florence. However, if I were to go back to Florence, this is the only place I would stay. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful, and really go out of their way to help their guests with anything they need. As we were leaving we told... more

We stayed at Residenza Il Villino for four nights in October, 2008. Our host, Sergio, and his wife and son are charming, very accomodating people. The property is in a good location, just a few blocks from the Accademia gallery (home of David statue) and a short walk from the Duomo and the center of the city. It was on... more

We stayed at Residenza il Villino for two nights in the quadruple accomodation. This B&B is a 15th century house which is absolutely beautiful. The quadruple room was split into two areas, each with a queen size bed and shared a common bathroom. The high ceilings and old-style furniture made it all the more lovely to live in. Breakfast was... more
