Terrific hotel and in a lovely quiet area (altho this was August when most Madrid locals have their holidays). It was in a great location too with buses and the Metro handily placed. The room and the bathroom were both a good size and the continental and hot breakfasts tasty and plentiful. I wouldn t hesitate to recommend this hotel... more

My friend and I spent one night at the Orense before departing Spain. Our room was comfortable and clean and the staff spoke good English and were helpful. There was no Internet connection at the hotel and I was given directions to the nearest Internet Cafe. A hotel of this size should have Internet available in this day and age!... more

No internet at all! Even though it was so advertised. No ice, nor iron in room (like everywhere in Spain, I guess) The neighborhood was a business district, just a 5 minute walk to the metro. Horrible Location. The rooms were smelly, the bathroom was smelly. Requested room changes 3 TIMES that night and found that they were all the same. The staffs were unhelpful and not courteous. During the night, we could here the loud music coming from the club across the street. IT WAS JUST HORRIBLE. My parents couldn't wait to leave. more

As other correspondents have stated the Orense is situated in a 'business area' on Teixero de Pedro approximately 10 minutes walk from both the Santiago Bernabeu stadium and Metro station.
