Absolutely first class service from everyone at the hotel. The room was very warm and on the small side however this certainly did not detract from the excellent overall feel of the hotel. For first time visitors (or people who like to be close to the Champs-elysee) this was great. 300 meters from the excellent metro service and 15 minutes... more

My daughter and I stayed at the Melia Royal Alma Hotel for three nights in May 2008. We found the hotel to be exceptionally clean, and the staff to be out-of-their-way kind and friendly. They were helpful in every way to make our stay a pleasant one. Yes, the rooms are on the small side. This is Paris. However, they... more

After we went to Disneyland Paris, we wanted to stay a few nights in the city centre of Paris as well. I am really so glad we choose this hotel. The location is absolutely perfect. If you walk out of the hotel and look to your left, you can directly see the Eiffel Tower. Lots of nice restaurants and terraces... more

I have stayed at the Melia Royal Alma Boutique Hotel two nights in early December (6th & 7th). The hotel it’s a discrete building beautiful situated between Place d'Alma and the Champs-Elysees. In one hand you have the top shops at Avenue Montaigne and, in the other, the art exhibitions of the Grand Palais or the auction houses as Christie’s... more

We were upgraded to this hotel from a sister hotel in another part of the city. We had 2 rooms, and both were well appointed and clean, one at the front and one at the rear, both quiet. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful (not always the case in France) and spoke good English and Spanish. Excellent showers and... more

Nice hotel with a great location, close to the city core area, subways, etc. A nice quiet location, too...one of the better places we have stayed in our three prior visits to Paris. Excellent breakfast served in a delightful garden at the rear of the hotel. Rooms are well appointed and generally clean. Bathrooms are very clean. But we found... more

I read the range of reviews on this hotel before we left with some trepidation -- having already had the reservations made by my wife's company's travel office. There seemed to be such a wide swing. So instead of providing a brief blurb, I thought I'd describe the pros and cons. PROS: First, this is neither the Four Seasons or... more

Do not bother with the negative reviews of this hotel. I cannot believe some of the comments people make, whingeing on about minor so-called problems! We found this hotel to be perfect for what we wanted; a long weekend to explore Paris. It is situated centrally, down a quiet road and only a walk from the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees... more

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Royal Alma. Pros: Perfect location. Easy walk to the Champs Elysee or Eiffel Tower. Short walk to the Metro. Nice Cafes nearby. Clean room. Cons: Service -- First, I opened the door to my room and there was someone already occupying it. Second, I booked and paid for a higher level room with... more
