Upon arriving at this hotel, we were greeted by friendly staff, only to find that all of the amenities listed on their website are at an additional cost, such as the Wi-fi internet, and the gym. Frustrated, but in need of a place to stay we took the room. The room was clean and spacious, but we were awakened at... more

Booked this one for a last minute stay on Priceline. I live locally but prefered to have a hotel closer to downtown for convenience sake. Paid about $85 plus tax and a HUGE $20 parking fee (I think it was $20). Rooms are basic, reasonably clean, but some areas of the hotel need a make over. This is a hotel... more

Got a rate of $129 per night through Priceline. I may have over paid. This hotel is in need of a makeover. The lobby is nice and, overall, the staff is pleasant....but, the room we had was a DUMP! It's too far out and you'll need a taxi to downtown Vancouver and Granville Island. I would not recommend this hotel.... more

We booked a one night stay via Priceline at a 3 star hotel in Vancouver and our bid was accepted by the Plaza 500 Hotel. The staff was friendly, but the facility was very dated, not my idea of 3 stars. The halls were narrow and maze like, twisting and turning, tiny elevators and really hard beds with a very... more

We stayed in July 2008, booked through Priceline and got a fairly large corner room on the 3rd Floor with a small balcony. The view wasn't that great but we never experienced any of the bad things mentioned by previous reviewers; the room was very clean, despite the subway works outside, it was always very quiet. The desk staff were... more

We stayed here July 4th till July 8th in a Junior Suite on the 12th floor. The view of the city and mountains and yes, even the ocean was spectacular. At night the lights were breath-taking from out large sliding glass door that led to the balcony. The room was large and had a nice comfortable bed. The bathroom was... more

We bid $125 (us) for a 2 bed queen - I would not bid anymore than that. Positive - *rooms were just the right size for us * mall across the street had safeway, food courts, produce shop and one of the best chinese restaurants ( according to reviews) in Vancouver * #15 bus across the street took you into... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 days in early June. We booked via Expedia for $135/night (includes $10 food credit). Overall, hotels in Vancouver during high season is unbelievably expensive. We chose this hotel because it was on sale..believe it nor not, regular price is $180-$595/night here. This is definitely a 3-star hotel - nothing higher. We booked... more

This hotel has some serious issues. My husband and I were given a room in the hotel that was on the 4th floor. The hallways smelled like "a wet dog" and the carpet was dirty and "coming up" in areas. Our room was clean and decent, but the entire window faced a very noisy construction zone. We complained immediately and... more

I believe this hotel has two different classes of rooms - decent and ghetto! We booked and stayed in the off season. Lobby is nice, but our rooms was outdated and was not that clean. I say that there are different classes of rooms, because on our same floor we saw the housekeeping staff cleaning what seemed to be much... more
