First of all we need to say that mosquito beach it's the only boutique and small hotel on the beach in the whole city, i booked this hotel because i like to walk right on the town, even that the hotel is beautiful, all the lamps, beds, tables there are from italy, about the last review's from the noise, i... more

DON'T BE PUT OFF BY THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING INTO. AND I PROBABLY WOULD NOT RENT A $500 PER NIGHT ROOM AT THIS HOTEL - $200 - $350 WORKS FOR THIS HOTEL... Just returned from a 4 night stay at Mosquito Beach. This place is really all about its beach area, which... more

We stayed at the Mosquito beach for a week at the begining of April 2008 and it is not all it seemed from the site. The location in Playa and the beach club are good, but food and beverages are very overpriced. The rooms are nice, but with limited sea view and there is a strong smell of mildew, the... more

We just returned from Mosquito Beach, Play del Carmen. We loved Playa del Carmen but HATED Mosquito Beach. First of all, it is WAY OVERPRICED! Do your homework (which we did not) and you will find that this place charges FAR MORE than any other property in the area - including beach front luxury places. We decided to splurge on... more

Well there too many bad reviews about this property, but like me titles it says, it was cool 4 me, one thing is truth there's a construction next door, but it's in the left side from the hotel most of the rooms there are next to the beach and it's not so loud, my room it was fine 203 a... more

definitely one of the worst hotels I have stayed at for the price. gloomy rooms, cheap quality furniture and fixtures, useless front desk and room service, loud construction, overall it was absolutely terrible. My advice to anyone considering staying here: Don't make the mistake!! more

this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I'm not sure where to start... *Construction from 6AM to 7PM - when asked to get a free night or a discount they told us to [--] off *Unfriendly staff *[--] assistant manager *Expensive prices for drinks, food and rooms *Breakfast supposedly included but only covers 10 dollars worth of food... more

Good location with average service. I liked the open-aired reception area/front desk. But, The modern / minimalist architecture and interior design ran amok and stood in stark contrast to the surrounding culture, look, and feel and eclipsed functionality. This could possibly be crafted into a unique and beneficial attribute. However, an extreme lack of light and very small size of... more

For 280€ a night to have a good hotel. Well our experience was totally different. First day we arrived our room was late. We had to wait like 2 hours before our rooms was ready. A nice surprise were the construction works next doors. Noise started around 7:30am till 6pm. We tried to talk to the manager. At first front... more

Throughout the stay we were very careful to leave our valuables in the safe that the hotel provides in the rooms. Upon checkout they provided us with a "security room" to put our luggage in while we were waiting for airport transportation. This "security room" as it was called was really their laundry room. We put our camera in the... more
