I'm so glad my family didn't listen to the ridiculous reviews on this website because then we wouldn't have stayed 2 wonderful weeks at this amazing hotel. Let's just say two weeks wasn't enough. The people who work at Hola do anything and everything to make your stay an enjoyable one [hence the "Friendly" pin on all the employee's uniforms].... more

I stayed at the Hola PVR for 2 weeks in January 2008, we knew it wasn't a 5-star going in but we were open minded. Location - AMAZING! 10 minute bus ride to downtown, close to all stores and plazas! Food - got a little repetative after about 10 days, we ate dinner in town a lot, mostly at La... more

resort is on the older side, but the staff was extremely service oriented and helpful. however, they need to work on kitchen help's cleanliness. omelette maker dropped spatula on floor, picked it up, wiped it with a paper towel and continued flipping the eggs. most helpful were the reception staff, bellboys, bar tenders, and waiters/waitresses. Jenny, the concierge/customer service rep... more

Where to begin... We had read the mixed reviews on this website and were a little concerned but after arriving, we could not have been happier at the Hola. (We've just decided some people wouldn't be happy no matter where they stay.) It's an easy cab ride from the airport, about $8 ($80 pesos) and about 15 minutes, and you... more

This hotel is awesome! Clean, very friendly hotel personel, great view with one of the best beaches for miles. I researched this hotel before I went and the reviews were about 50-50 on trip Adviser at the time. I think the ones who did not enjoy thier stay are just too picky. I mean $800.00 all inclusive for a week... more

Two girlfriends and I stayed here from March 28 to April 4, 2008. It was a week after Spring Break and was very quiet. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. We had a lovely little balcony with stunning views of the ocean. The food was okay -- nothing spectacular, but there was always something to choose from. But... more

I only stayed here one night, as I was meeting a group, and I just wanted a cheap hotel for one night. I would have been better off staying downtown. This hotel was overrun with partying Nationalists. The food was not great, I could not get a reservation to the ala carte restaurant. I only ate at the buffets, and... more

We have stayed at this Hotel many times, however, this was our first visit since it was purchased by new owners. They have invested a lot of time, effort and probably a lot of money into to making this truly a first class hotel. The Hola Puerto Vallarta has the most dedicated staff of any we have found in Mexico.... more

This was our first trip to Mexico and we had a great time. The hotel was clean and we experienced great service The food was great with a wide selection of different dishes. The ala' carte restaurant was like eating at a high class restaurant. The rooms are clean, spacious and surpassed our expections on view. Had a great time... more

My husband and I stayed at the Hola for a week in April. It was a great time. I was not sure what to expect after reading these reviews but let me tell you, we did not have a complaint on anything. The staff was wonderful and always remembered what we wanted to drink. I am not a "drinker" so... more
