Stayed at the Grand Mayan in Acapulco. The resort was above average, but in true form to the Mayan Resorts they do "nickle and dime" you. They like to charge for amenities that are included in most other time share resorts. The true gem in this trip was ROBERTO ALARCON. We contacted him on the internet prior to our trip.... more

My family of four (children ages 10 and 12) stayed at the Grand Mayan during the last week of July and had one of the best vacations ever! Overall, the Grand Mayan was nice. The hotel service and hospitality was well above average. The rooms were clean and the evening service was especially nice. We especially loved the waiter by... more

Our stay at the Grand Mayan was very enjoyable, the room was a bit below our expectations, but we came to enjoy it. It would be great for a family, and worked for our honeymoon. The weather was great even though everything said that it would be terrible. If you go CONTACT ROBERTO ALARCON; his prices were phenomenal, his English... more

just got home last night! August and September are suppose to be wet months... but we didn't see a drop of rain until the last night... and it POURED! the resort is BEAUTIFUL! the rooms are amazing... just a note... only owners/members get ocean view rooms and there is a sewer smell off the balconies facing the street/golf course. I... more

Before I talk about Roberto Alarcon, El Hombre (that's The Man for all you radical folk) I have to tell you this . . . if you plan on going to Acapulco, you must stay at the GRAND MAYAN. It is simply breathtaking. The staff is excellent, the rooms are excellent, everyone and I mean everyone is friendly. From the... more

I stood at the Grand Mayan Hotel and resort, located on the Dimond section of Acapulco. Is a beautiful hotel and the acomodation was terrific, love the fact that the room has a mini pool in the terrace, and the one bedroom is gorgeous with kitchen and all the acomodation you can find. The view of the hotel it is... more

I stayed at the Grand Mayan Acapulco during the 1st week of August 2008. Four of us including my 16 year old daughter and our cousin and his spouse stayed in a large suite. Overall, the resort is very nicely set up and self contained but for the price (which is on the higher end) there were a few hotel... more

Had a great time in the month of June! The resort was beautiful, peaceful and the food was great! Our cab driver Angel made the trip special. Escorted us to the grocery, downtown Acapulco & Taxco! His service is very professional, on time and enjoyable! Don't go there without making a reservation with Angel! more

This was our first time at a Grand Mayan, having just bought the time share last year. It was a wonderful choice. We had the 2 bedroom suite overlooking the Pacific on the 7th floor. Our check-in was quick, and one room was being "worked on" as we were going to it......meaning rose petals being strewn all over and a... more

The Grand Mayan beach is overrun with tourists riding ATVS, flying in ultralights, trotting on horses, or jetting by on jet-skis. It is noisy, dangerous for everyone trying to walk by, and fills the air with diesel fumes. It seems that the Grand Mayan cannot prevent these "adventure" vendors from plopping down right on their shores. Otherwise, it would be... more
