Out of our 7 weeks of island hopping in 7 islands in the Caribbean (from Cuba to St Lucia) , Saba , and especially El Momo and the extremely hospitable hosts Sophie & Patrick came best! I read another reveiw and it mentioned a dirty pool and unclean rooms, I would say the contrary!!! The pool was great, filled with... more

Saba was not what my girlfriend and I expected when we traveled there in May 2008, but please know that has nothing to do with this review. We were excited to stay at El Momo, as it had gotten a glowing review in Lonely Planet. Sad to say, it was a huge disappointment, though ultimately it turned into something even... more

My vacation at El Momo, Saba is the best vacation I've enjoyed so far! After a long flight ;) I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful nature of the island and the friendly locals. El Momo is situated on beautiful place with a stunning view no matter which cottage you have booked. The relaxing atmosphere, the swimming pool and the... more

El Momo is simple, peaceful and picturesque. It has everything you need if you just want to relax, eat good food and have a comfy base to see the beautiful island of Saba from. Sophie and Patrick, the managers, were incredibly friendly, looked after us beautifully and cooked great food. The breakfasts set us up for diving and the home... more

El Momo Cottages, in terms of accommodations, is simple and basic: Simple huts with basic mattresses. Simple patio furniture with a basic pool. You get the idea. For this particular long weekend I was looking for something extremely low-key and relaxing with a friendly atmosphere that wasn't go-go-go. And that's exactly what I found. So in that respect my stay... more

I loved staying at El Momo. Beautiful place! Loved the food (great breakfast with yummy banana jam! and wonderful diner!) The rooms are basic but very nice and have great views! There is a very nice swimmingpool. El Momo has very nice managers with good service. Windwardside is just 5 minutes walk. If you go to Saba, stay at El... more

Things we love about El Momo: 1. You sleep in a little hut on the side of a cliff, where you get your own hammock and patio. 2. When you open your door in the morning, the first thing you see is a sweeping view of the ocean and Mt. Scenery! And some huts have even better views than others.... more

Saba is a real treasure of an island and our stay at El Momo with Andries and Marieke was super. The atmosphere around El Momo is relaxed, inviting and friendly. We had the pleasure of spending our honeymoon in the "cottage in the sky" and loved it. Privacy and solitude were abundant, yet local shops and restaurants are a short... more

We have been traveling around the Caribbean for the past two months, and El Momo is by far the best place we have stayed. The rooms are comfortable with breathtaking views, and Saba is an incredible island. There is a wonderful breeze up on the hill, and sometimes we even got chilly at night. By far the best part of... more

Hey there, we really enjoyed the cottage we had at El Momo our cottage was the Iguana cottage, and guess what, we had a couple of iguanas sharing our sun deck Andries (the owner) is really a man to know on the island, everything he arranged for us (like finding a restaurant) was perfect, he was a great help and... more
