We have just returned from Jamaica, having booked to stay at the Riu Tropical Bay 5th to 19th. We knew that the hotel was to close for re-furbishment on 20th, but had been assured by First Choice Holidays that nothing would affect our holiday. The first 2 days were fabulous!! Great rooms, the best beach we have ever seen, gorgeous... more

Stayed 7/26/-8/1. Room 1322 - Horrible smell to room, bugs, dirty bed and bathroom. Complained from day one of smell, etc. Nothing was done. In trying to find out where the smell was coming from discovered mold behind the beds and around the air vents near the bathroom. After three days our room was changed - not by the general... more

We went to RIU in April with 40 others to get married. The overall stay was okay but for the price we paid we could have went to a nicer place. We did stay at another resort for our Honeymoon the following week and the comparison for the price alone was unreal. First of all there is NO SPORTS BAR... more

My partner and I stayed here between 26 June and 10 July. The place was brilliant. We stayed in the older part block 4, and overlooked the sea. The room was very nice. I suppose I could sit and be very picky but what for? it was lovely. Everywhere was so clean and tidy, and the staff were fantastic. Thought... more

On May 22,2008 my husband and I became one on the beautiful sandy white beach of Negril, Jamaica. Oh, it was exstatic! Along with our children and other immediate family members we resided at the Riu Tropical Bay Resortl. The resort was very family friendly, the staff were absolutely wonderful, and the food was great! Our children loved the unique... more

Entertainment was good, food was ok plenty of choice. The only problem we really came across was there wasnt as many teenagers there this year, as last... more

This was our first time in Jamaica and we chose this location for our honeymoon. We had a fairy tale honeymoon for sure! It took a few days to adjust to the food as we are not seafood lovers but for the most part enjoyed that too. The hospitality towards us as honeymooners was far more than we ever expected... more
