We did the free walking tour of the Station. There were so many people on the tour! It was really intriguing to hear the stories about it and the guide made it really interesting. It is so huge and very busy. Below, there is a big eating area with lots of different food outlets. The ceiling in the main hall... more

Wanted to compare this to Union Station in DC. Nice architecture with a ceiling depicting the constellations but the atmosphere is hot and humid- not conducive to spending much time. Checked out Junior's cheesecake and Michael Jordan's steakhouse. Don't put this high on your must-see list. more

It's still a train station. I was impressed, but if you are short on time it doens't need to be on the top of your wishlist. The subway iteself deserves to be more highly rated. Make sure you catch the subway when you are in Manhatten. Its the quickest, cheapest way to get around. We bought a weekly metro ticket... more

Grand Central is a really cool building. All the people coming and going and the super high ceiling with all the constellations is something you should definitely experience. more

Very interesting and vast building. Worth a look if you are in the area but i would not go out of your way to see it. If you do try to go when it is less crowded as this ruined it a little bit for me. more

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt next door and had an easy inside passage leading directly to the terminal. The space is huge with sounds that are like being in a cave. Trains, people, the noise mixes together and turns into a hum. Exits lead out to the streets or down into the subways. Restaurants and fast food are available... more

Beautiful building. Very fun for people watching. Also, we wanted to eat at Junior's and found the one at the Terminal to be much cheaper than the Times Square location so had a good sandwich and cheesecake while at the Terminal. I highly recommend trying to at least walk through on your way to the subway stop. more

Being from an area where we have no public transportation, not even buses, it was really interesting to see Grand Central Terminal. The architecture is very neat and it's humbling to think about how many people travel through here every day. We enjoyed checking out the station and snapping a few pictures, but if you're not traveling on a subway... more

All I can say is WOW!!! This is a very busy place. It is a must see just because of all the people they move in all the different directions. My family and I were amazed at all the people and the it is beautiful!! more
