Went to Buck Island yesterday with Big Beard and had a wonderful time. We took the full day trip which I recommend since it includes a lunch and rum punch at the end. All food is cooked outdoors with the mongooses coming up and grabbing the left overs when everyone is finished. Our Captain was a guy named Austin whose... more

Buck Island is serene. The trip must be made on big beard Renegade, since it is a big catamaran and thr ride is extremely smooth. We took the half a day trip , which was maybe a tad too short since an extra hour beach combing would have been perfect. The water is crystal clear. I highly recommend it especially... more

We booked the full-day excursion aboard the Renegade for February 14, 2008. Austin was our captain. We had a great time! The captain and crew were informative, funny, and knowledgeable. We saw the usual sargeant majors, parrotfish, etc. and also saw squid , barracuda, and other fish I had never seen before. There were about 20 passengers, including crew, on... more

We rode on the Renegade with Capt. Austin and his first mate, Lindsey. We have taken other catamaran trips on other islands, but none compared to this one. Both Austin and Lindsey were warm, knowledgeable of the island, snorkeling and sailing, and made us feel like we were the only guests they had ever taken. We recommend that you not... more

We took the Renegade to Buck Island on Nov 15, 2007. What a great trip. Capt Austin and first mate Lindsey did a great job. This was before 'high season,' so we ended up having the entire catamaran for 6 passengers! It can take up to 39 I think. The service, food and fun was awesome. The snorkeling at Buck... more

Buck Island was beautiful! There was great snorkeling, swimming, and walking. We even got to see some baby sharks. We booked a half day trip with Captain Heinz on the Terroro II. He was a great host and very laid back. He gave you plenty of warning before it was time to leave and lots of pointers on things to... more

We booked with Diva after reading many great reviews...we booked on a Tuesday for a Friday trip. Got a call on Thursday night @ 8PM cancelling our trip for Friday due to a cancellation. It seems that if less than 4 people book the trip, Diva isn't interested. We had made other plans based on taking the trip to Buck... more

Going to Buck Island is the most memorable part of our trip. This is a must if you go to St Croix. We did a half day trip through Caribbean Sea Adventures and I regret not taking the full day trip. It just was not enough time out there. I recommend brining a waterproof camera, to remember the beautiful coral... more

We took a half day trip to Buck Island on the Teroro II catamaran. The Teroro II and the Dragonfly are two sailboats captained by father and son Capt. Heinz and Capt. Carl. They leave from the Green Cay Marina just outside Christiansted. The Teroro holds 15 to 20 passengers comfortably and Capt. Carl (the son) is an friendly and... more
