Came back from Panama City on November 1, after a week stay. I have been there before, and thought I had seen everything of interest...(I was wrong) I decided to take the Embera Indian Village Tour provided by Guardiola Tours, and had a fantastic time, and learned alot. The flora and fauna was amazing ,and entering the village was like... more

Lenos & Carbon

Nov 18, 2008

I've been there 2 or 3 times at the ones in the malls, the food is ok, the service was fatal the 3 times I went. It happends to restaurants wich have made a preety good fame within the locals, after that they just feel comfortable with their faithful clients and heva a careless performance on their service. more

It's a dump, but a nice dump. Elevator worked but button on my floor was broken so had to go down a floor to call it. Phone only worked for incoming calls. Breakfast was minimal. Good internet cafe right around the corner. Good laundry even closer. Within easy walking distance of good restaurants, pharmacy, and other shopping. Room was always... more

Superior accomodations, attentive staff and a great location near historical points of interest and nightlife. Highly recommend for those seeking a luxury boutique hotel. more

Veneto - A Wyndham Grand Hotel

Nov 15, 2008

After a long flight arrived very late at night for a week long business stay. I Thoght the room smelled musty stale but immediatly went to sleep. Awoke and my eyes were almost swollen shut. Trying to unpack my suitcase and the air conditioning vent dripped on my back! I was on the 16th floor and it became very clear... more

My first time in Panama, and I am SOOOOOO happy I stayed at La Dulce Colmena instead of a hotel in Panama City. La Dulce Colmena is in Betania and about 20 minutes from the airport and about 10 minutes from the financial district. I loved it. It far exceeded all of my expectations in every area. It was peaceful,... more

it is out of the main city center . . .and costs about $13 dollars to get to the city center via cab. . .to the airport $35. . . .however, this being said it is a good bargain at $160/ all taxes. . . the MiraFlores lock is literally 300 feet to the front side of the hotel. .... more

Crowne Plaza Panama

Nov 11, 2008

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Panama on two occasions in November. I stayed here for one night both times. The beds are very, very comfortable. The rooms are modern, although internet cost $41 for 72 hrs. Things are extremely quiet around the hotel -- and I was occupying a room during the independence parade that was right on the... more

La Posta

Nov 10, 2008

we spent two weeks around Panama, country side exploring, scuba diving in bocas and city apartment hunting and had the best two dinners in la POSTA. It made us feel that our choice to move to panama wasn't that crazy after all! Wow, a restaurant where we didn't feel like we missed our Boston (his) and New York (mine) favorite... more

El Panama Hotel

Nov 10, 2008

The rooms here are absolutely disgusting...the hotel's location and service is okay, though. Even though I booked an Executive Level room in the main tower reasonably ahead of time...and was traveling solo, I was given a room with two double beds. There was blood on my sheets, a filthy tile bathroom floor, discolored paint, light bulbs that needed to be... more

La Estancia on Cerro Ancon is a terrific spot located outside the hub bub of the city in an area that use to be where the Americans lived during their control of the Canal. From our room we could see the Bridge of Americas and watch various birds and a Tamarind Monkey in the trees. Some have written that they... more

Dos Palmitos

Nov 9, 2008

In October I traveled with my girlfriend to Panama City. Because I have a conservative budget , but want the best service for my dollars I consider myself lucky that I chose to stay at DosPalmitos. It is a bed and breakfast, but feels more like a family hotel with all the comforts of home. Our room was cozy and... more

The owner is directly involved in the hotel and takes great pride in making things right. I work in the travel industry and have never seen such good customer service. Throughout our stay the staff was going out of their way to take care of us. Despite their best effort they screwed up. However the way they handled it was... more

We ate at Beirut twice during our four day stay in Panama City. Highly recommend stuffed grape leaves and hummus with fresh pita bread. The salad side was delightful and refreshing. The menu is large and the staff is very attentive. Highly recommend. more

This was our worst meal in Panama City. Everything is covered in creamy sauce. No one was in the restaurant. Service was spotty. And the food was average at best. Would not return. more

After searching reviews for our four night stay in Panama City, we decided on El Panama. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay again if visiting Panama City. Comments: 1) We had a cabana room. These rooms open out to the pool and include a small table and chairs. It rained two afternoons, and we enjoyed sitting outside... more

I took advantage of Anne Gordon's tour to the Embera Village whilst in PC in November, having read the other recent reviews. I left booking the tour until the day before I arrived, but Anne was still able to fit me in at a very reasonable cost of $95 for a full day. She picked me up from my hotel,... more

Panama Marriott Hotel

Nov 8, 2008

Having read the recent reviews of this hotel, I choose the Marriott because it was rated number one. I paid $225 per night, which it seems from talking to other people that I met whilst in PC was probably on the high side. The hotel is located centrally in downtown PC, but is not truely in the Central Business district.... more

My wife and I come to Panama City quite a bit to visit property to buy. On our last visit we stayed in the Dos Palmitos b&b on Ancon Hill. I have to say we really loved it.
